Samuel leads the overall strategy implementation of the business with a lead on Performance, Risk, Systems and Commercial aspects In addition to the management of procurement.
With over 10 years experience working within the forestry industry Sam has delivered numerous projects from conservation work on SSSI's to large scale production forecasting contracts. Sam has extensive knowledge of commercial forestry, silvicultural practices and Geographic Information Systems.
In addition to assisting with the running of the company's strategy and growth initiatives, Tom coordinates the forest operations of the business and provides leadership and training in forest management best practise to the team.
Over the past 3 years Tom has been responsible for delivering forest mensuration and surveying contracts for private and public sector clients in England and Wales. In 2017 he spent time in New Zealand gathering data on carbon sequestration for the national Emission Trading Scheme (ETS). Tom has a passion for sustainable forestry and a keen interest in utilising remote sensing to interpret our environments and improve land use.
Our expert drone pilot and all-round techie, David is responsible for the direction of Artio's innovation and technology, specialising in remote sensing and 3D land-modelling.
He earned his Permissions for Commercial UAV Ops in 2016 through the RUSTA Training Academy, and has since logged considerable flight time without incident. He is a firm believer that the recent developments in the 3D land-modelling and mapping sector represent the natural next step for the UAV industry, and ever since first catching wind of UAVs being used in this way, intrigue quickly gave way to obsession.
